  MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT

Karimabad Welfare Association (KWA) is a Non Government Organization which caters services in different fields: Education, Health and support to non affording students since its inception in January 1995.

Hasegawa Memorial Public School and College Karimabad, Hunza is a project of KWA, which came into existence owing to the will of Late Hasegawa who came to Hunza to conquer Ultar Peak in October 1991 and was hit by an avalanche consequent to which he was expired on the spot. This school is built in his memory and has been dedicated to this  Great Mountaineer of  Japan and is a lively institution which holds

strength of 600 students and 50 faculty and staff members striving for the academic development of the region.

KWA officials and myself dream brighter future of students by providing them the best and standard learning facilities. Therefore inspite of limited resources, KWA has taken bold financial steps to initiate upon, girls college, augmenting resources in the Labs and Library and plan to extend building to accommodate greater number of students at HMPSC.

I, leading the Association show gratitude to Ms. Masami Hasegawa, the people of Japan and particularly the Embassy of Japan for their continuous support in the capacity of our development partners without which we would not have visualized the dream of such a standard school.

I am also thankful to local visioners, founder members, former KWA officials and particularly to Mr. Wajidullah Baig who envisaged to bring this school into existence by their best efforts and cooperation completing the project facing numerous deterring socio political elements.

We, the office bearers and members of KWA look forward towards future with the best efforts for the academic and social development of Karimabad Hunza.

 ZAMARUD KHAN

President KWA

  MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL
Hasegawa Memorial Public School grew as symbol of a Japanese mountaineer’s love who lost his life during expedition on his way to Ultar Peak in 1991.Tseno Hasegawa’s desire synchronized with deep seated dream of a standard school in the minds of local visionaries brought this school into being. While the nursing, feed and cradle to protect this institution was granted by Massami Hasegawa, the great people of Japan and Japan Embassy respectively with the intention to boost up the cause of education as an antidotal step to face non-affording conditions by educating the people in this region to develop their skills so that they could re-build their society on strong social beliefs and financial footings.

We are filled with warm faith that the support we have been provided by our development partners in education is invaluable and gesture of love to human being

to enable us to get rid of the ugly and painful features of poverty and ignorance which held us back for decades from the blessings of modern development.

This institution is determined to face challenges on the way to expansion of the noble cause of education to every class of this region. We desire the young generation to equip its self with the faith to carry the day with the knowledge they receive from this vibrant institution.

HMPS is in the making of history and evolving into a standard educational institution by providing the best learning facilities to the students in addition to curriculum guided studies. The school houses well-equipped Science Labs, Computer Lab with the facility of Internet Services and Library with books and A.V.material which strengthen the process of teaching and learning for both the faculty and student’s community. The result of our sincere efforts reflects from the record of the ex- Hasegawians who are setting the record in premier institutions in the region.

Our co-curricular activities are worth interesting for the students and parents which are aimed at confidence building and promote the creative abilities as an integral part of holistic development. We are still planning to get access to higher vistas of academic development with the synergetic efforts at HMPS to bring further improvement in our practices that can enable us to join the queue of educational institutions which reached to the fame and success for their standard teaching methods and creative approach to learning. The day is not far when HMPS will be shining among high caliber institutions on the national horizon. INSHA ALLAH
