The Hispanic Multi-Purpose Service Center of New Jersey was founded in 1976 by a group of concerned, committed and dedicated Hispanic Citizens led by then Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Paterson, Mrs. Maria O’Keefe. Perceiving the need of an organization designed to serve and alleviate the needs of the residents of the Greater Paterson area, HMPSC has dedicated itself to improving the daily lives of Hispanics in America.
Since its founding, the HMPSC has had a long and distinguished history of working with youth and senior citizens. We provide counseling, family information and transitional housing services for homeless young mothers. Additionally, we provide outreach services and education supporting healthcare initiatives, particularly HIV Prevention.
Finally, we’ve dedicated significant resources to combat misinformation of COVID-19 treatment, prevention, and vaccination across social media networks.
